Takeflight

Let's be a pilotof change.

Called to serve

In contribution of work that endures.

To me, building websites is a way to serve others. I firmly believe that life is about more than personal gain. We are called to be active stewards of the skills we have been given, using them to build platforms for projects that restore and uplift communities. This initiative exists to ensure that causes with lasting gravity are not held back simply because they lack a digital platform.

Why this exists

Takeflight operates on a single conviction, we are not put here simply to build our own kingdoms.

A well-built platform has the power to carry a cause much further, but there is often a massive gap between the people doing the most vital, unglamorous work and the resources they have to tell their story. The importance of your work should never be measured by what your organisation can afford to pay.

This is a commitment to putting my skills to work for those who need them most. Ultimately, it comes down to doing the work as if for the Lord, and not for man.

The Goals

I use the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as a compass for this work. They are the universal shorthand for projects that are actively cultivating a better inheritance for the next generation.

If your community organisation, feeding scheme, or social project is moving the needle on any of these seventeen goals, that is the exact kind of legacy I want to help get off the ground.

You don't have to be the cause

You do not have to run the organisation to be part of building this legacy.

You can contribute by pointing me toward a quiet, hard-working project that needs a platform, or you can contribute financially. I keep these funds entirely separate. They are used exclusively to cover the web development costs for a new cause, or they can be directed toward supporting one of the causes I have already helped get off the ground.

You can let me know exactly which project you would like to back, or you can leave it to my choosing. It is simply a way to stretch how far this stewardship can reach.

Think it might be you?

Tell me what the cause does, who it helps and why a website would change something. Plain email is fine. No forms, no application pack.
